You are booking a Private 2.5 Hour Trip aboard our motorboat SCUP and may bring up to a total of 6 Guests, including children. Options include viewing the Gilded Age Bellevue Mansions, anchoring for a picnic and swimming.

What to expect
While every trip is unique and can be affected by time of year and weather systems, we often see typical conditions that vary by the time of day. Scup is designed for for deep sea use and will provide a safe and fun experience. It is typical to see Newport Harbor and get out onto Narragansett Bay. You may also see such landmarks as Hammersmith Farm, Castle Hill, Clingstone and up to 5 lighthouses. If you opt to see such sights as the Gilded Age Mansions on Ocean Drive, the boat will no longer be in the protected waters of Narragansett Bay - precautions against motion sickness are recommended in all but settled weather. If you would like to anchor and swim, let the Captain know!
Time of Day
Mornings - Often settled conditions
This trip is often an excellent time to view the Gilded Coastal Mansions and Lighthouses, as conditions are often settled in these hours. Since the trip is Private, we can easily decide if conditions are appropriate for offshore travel once we see them. No itinerary is written in stone and there are many things to do and see that do not involve entering the Atlantic Ocean.
Afternoons
There tends to be a stronger breeze in the afternoons. This is a great time to see the sights of Narragansett Bay if you aren't interested in going into the Atlantic - or to settle in at anchor for a picnic and swim after seeing the sights.
Sunset
The best way to end the day and start your evening is by watching the sun dip below Jamestown. Bring your camera, some of our best photos have come from this sail.
